Job Description
Remote Project Manager leading multi-year DoD contracts and ISR/logistics projects. Managing budgets, risks, teams, compliance, and delivery for HII’s national defense technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
- Allocate and manage resources across multiple projects
- Identify and assess program and project risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, report to stakeholders, and implement corrective actions
- Implement quality control measures and ensure compliance with contracts, industry standards, and regulations
- Lead and motivate project managers, engineers, analysts, and other professionals
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs, monitor milestones, and provide stakeholder updates
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, reporting requirements, deliverables, and regulations
- Drive continuous process improvement and implement best practices
- Support Department of Defense Geographic Combatant Command customers
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required
- May visit job sites in industrial or shipboard environments
Requirements:
- 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role, preferably within the defense industry or government contracting
- Strong knowledge of defense industry practices, regulations, and contractual requirements
- Experience managing multi-year contracts with greater than $20M annual revenue and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills, including risk management
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
- 5+ years of experience managing Defense Aerospace or Airborne ISR contracts
- 3+ years of experience managing Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF) contracts supporting the Department of Defense
- 3+ years of experience using Smartsheet and Office365 products
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or DAWIA Level III Program Management certification (bonus points)
- Secret or higher (TS/SCI) clearance (bonus points)
