Job Description
Remote Services Project Manager overseeing financial, contractual, and operational performance of SOLV Energy’s solar and battery power plants. Leading teams, vendors, owners, and continuous O&M improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the SOLV team for newly onboarded PV Power Plants
- Ensure peak financial performance and compliance with contractual obligations
- Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases
- Manage subcontractors and vendors for compliance with contract terms, scope, and schedule
- Build relationships with Owners, subcontractors, SOLV teams, field teams, and stakeholders
- Support field teams in meeting contractual terms, maximizing plant production and availability, and enhancing fees
- Manage all aspects of facility onboarding
- Provide accurate monthly cost and revenue accruals
- Manage project DSO and project costs
- Approve AP invoices and ensure proper cost coding and expenditure verification
- Manage owner invoicing accurately and on time
- Report pertinent issues to management
- Manage, train, and supervise project teams
- Review contract conditions and ensure compliance
- Supervise documentation of significant project events, including accidents and Change Orders
- Supervise negotiation, preparation, and issuance of subcontract bid packages
- Maintain quality control
- Analyze industry best practices for system operations
- Ensure full compliance with services obligations, laws, ordinances, PPAs, LGIAs, land leases, and contracts
- Drive continuous improvements and O&M best practices
- Interface with project owners to enhance customer satisfaction, communication, and reporting
- Resolve systemic plant performance issues and provide root cause analyses with outside resources
- Prioritize and delegate Service team tasks and accomplish goals through collaboration
- Act as Project Management team executive for multiple team members and projects across North America
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to internal and extended team members
- Contribute to business and resource planning, project strategies, and new processes
- Proactively identify and manage project risks
- Coordinate with internal Directors across project disciplines
- Support portfolio planning, valuation, transactions, and construction of new projects
- Perform other assigned duties and special projects
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Degree in Business Management preferred
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a project team
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and monitoring software
- Data analysis, modeling and reporting background in Excel and applicable databases
- Proficiency in office practices, procedures, and equipment
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate independently
- Superior time management skills with emphasis in task prioritization
- Ability to work in a high pace, high stress environment
- Ability to tolerate heavy call/meeting days
- Ability to frequently stoop, bend, crouch, reach, handle, sit, stand, walk, and lift 20 or more lbs
- Constant ability to see details at close range and at a distance, hear, talk, and possess depth perception
- Extended periods sitting in front of a computer using finger dexterity and near and far vision
- Occasional climbing and carrying; proximity to moving mechanical parts; working in high exposed areas
- Occasional exposure to dust and fumes, electric shock, radiation, toxic/caustic chemicals
- Minimal travel required
