Job Description
Project Manager overseeing commercial real estate projects from site selection through turnover. Supporting Scalia, a Latin America remote-team scaling consultancy, with budgets, schedules, vendors, and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full project lifecycle from site selection and due diligence through design, permitting, construction, and turnover
- Lead vendor and general contractor bidding processes, including RFP preparation, bid leveling, and team-formation recommendations
- Coordinate day-to-day project execution to meet timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Serve as primary liaison between the company and clients
- Communicate project information clearly in English with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, monitoring progress and adjusting plans
- Lead budgeting and cost management, including forecasting, tracking, and variance analysis
- Review and negotiate contracts, proposals, and change orders
- Manage client-selected vendors such as signage, IT/AV, furniture, and millwork
- Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating critical issues with recommended solutions
- Manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and project reports
- Provide comprehensive status reporting to leadership and clients
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align resources and priorities
- Maintain professional and ethical standards throughout the project lifecycle
- Participate in structured onboarding and shadowing with the CEO
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial real estate development, managing projects from site selection through turnover
- Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Civil/MEP Engineering; or demonstrated experience managing construction projects
- Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal; C1+ level preferred
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and methodical in managing complex workflows
- Hands-on experience with monday.com, including project tracking, dashboards, and automations
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability in scheduling, budgeting, and cost management, including forecasting, tracking, and variance reporting
- Experience in contract review, negotiation, vendor management, and GC bidding/RFP processes
- Solid understanding of risk allocation
- Proven skill in project status reporting and synthesizing schedule, budget, scope, risk, technical, and financial data into actionable updates
- Competence in risk management, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks
- Commitment to professional and ethical standards, transparency, accountability, and trust
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership and US-based clients
- English proficiency at C1+ level preferred
- Experience with creative, technology, or consulting companies is nice to have
