Job Description

QA Engineer testing Burny Games’ mobile puzzle games across platforms. Improving QA workflows with AI, validating monetization systems, and supporting reliable releases.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional, cross-platform, regression, smoke, usability, and A/B testing for mobile games
  • Develop and maintain test cases and checklists
  • Report, track, and verify defects in bug tracking systems
  • Analyze requirements for new features and participate in task grooming
  • Use AI agents and AI-powered tools to optimize QA workflows, test development, documentation, and routine tasks
  • Analyze requirements, GDDs, and technical documentation to identify potential quality risks before implementation
  • Participate in the release cycle, including release preparation and smoke testing
  • Automate QA processes and testing using AI
  • Collaborate with developers and game designers to ensure quality
  • Assist in improving the team's QA processes

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience testing mobile games on iOS/Android
  • Understanding of the game development life cycle
  • Experience with test case management systems such as Asana, TestRail, or Zephyr
  • Experience with bug tracking systems such as Jira or Asana
  • Knowledge and application of functional, regression, cross-platform, usability, and A/B testing methodologies
  • Experience working with logs using ADB, Xcode, Charles, or Fiddler
  • Proactive approach to identifying defects and proposing improvements to processes, test coverage, and user experience
  • Experience using AI tools in QA workflows, particularly for test creation, documentation, analysis, and routine-task optimization
  • Experience testing monetization systems, including in-app purchases, advertising, and third-party SDK integrations
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, or GitLab
  • Understanding of client-server game architecture, including authentication, player progress tracking, matchmaking, and game events
  • Experience working with backend and admin panels
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver features and releases end-to-end without QA lead involvement
  • Experience testing puzzle games is nice to have
  • Experience with Unity is nice to have
  • Experience with Amplitude or Firebase is nice to have
  • Experience with client-server architecture is nice to have
