Job Description

Regional Product Manager overseeing Engineering Plastics product management and sales strategies in DACH region. Bridging global strategies with regional execution and ensuring commercial success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the product management for our suppliers, leading manufacturers of high-performance engineering thermoplastics (ETPs) in the DACH region
  • Collaborate with European Product Management to implement market and product strategies
  • Support our sales teams in the designated product and application areas
  • Serve as contact person for strategically important customers in the region (Tier 1–Tier 2 experience advantageous)
  • Help identify growth opportunities and ensure a strong commercial presence
  • Provide first-line technical advice to sales teams and customers on product selection, market and application
  • Communicate success stories and product benefits within the region
  • Contribute to commercial planning and budgeting
  • Monitor the performance of assigned product groups and ensure targets are achieved
  • Provide market intelligence that may influence budget planning and sales activities
  • Act as the interface between regional sales teams and suppliers
  • Translate product strategies into concrete regional action plans
  • Align regional pricing, product availability and commercially acceptable customer requirements
  • Prepare accurate sales (demand) forecasts to support supply chain planning and ensure product availability
  • Contribute to demand planning and risk management strategies
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration and ensure alignment on shared objectives
  • Coach and develop team members to strengthen knowledge and performance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Chemistry or a comparable field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial or technical product roles (technical activities)
  • Ability to influence and deliver results across functions and countries
  • Strong, clear communication and problem-solving skills, with solid data analysis capability
  • Ability to manage complex and conflicting priorities; results-oriented and responsive
  • Hands-on mentality with a strong service orientation
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Experience in a matrix organization is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel within the DACH region and to European meetings (up to 50%)
