Job Description
Ruby on Rails Developer maintaining and modernizing applications for Transform Labs. Involves stabilizing systems, refactoring logic, and managing integrations in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Stabilize & Maintain: Proactively fix performance bottlenecks and harden security vulnerabilities
- Refactor Legacy Logic: Untangle 'Fat Controllers' and massive models into clean, testable Service Objects
- System Integrity: Manage critical 3rd-party integrations
- Frontend Unification: Maintain a hybrid frontend of legacy ERB templates and modern React components
- Infrastructure Support: Assist with AWS deployments and environment configuration
Requirements:
- Up to 5 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development
- Strong experience with Rails 5/6 lifecycles
- Proficiency in Ruby 2.7 and Rails 6
- Familiarity with React and PostgreSQL
- Experience with AWS/Terraform
- Ability to write specs (RSpec)
- Professional maturity to communicate technical risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders
