Job Description
Sales Trainer strengthening Ryder’s business-services sales teams through coaching, assessments, and individualized development plans. Facilitating classroom and webinar training to improve productivity and sales skills.
Responsibilities:
- Support the goals of the Ryder Sales University program, enhancing the effectiveness of sales and support talent in the SCS/DTS Sales organization
- Work with field sales leadership to identify individualized training and development opportunities
- Meet regularly with salespeople to review assessments, individual development plans, and progress
- Monitor performance and development needs of the sales team
- Curate development plans including coaching
- Coach, develop, and motivate salespeople
- Follow up on activities and sessions while evaluating progress with sales leaders
- Serve as a consultant to field sales leaders
- Facilitate and deliver sales training via classroom and webinar
- Decide on training delivery method, content, and design in conjunction with the Sales Training organization
- Recommend and assist with training content, design, and modality
- Deploy continuous improvement opportunities based on program evaluations, leadership feedback, and sales training best practices
- Make independent decisions while coaching or conducting training sessions, including training attendance and handling non-completions in coordination with sales leaders
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required in Business and/or Marketing, or equivalent work experience
- Seven (7) years or more of sales or account management experience with successful sales and coaching experience within a multi-channel business service environment
- Excellent collaboration and team building skills
- Ability to communicate and manage through multiple groups, including HQ staff, sales leadership, operations, salespeople, and sales associates
- Knowledge and experience with coaching models/best practices
- Skill in helping individuals identify goals, develop realistic action plans, seek development opportunities, and monitor progress and accountability
- Ability to effectively facilitate meetings, work sessions, and training
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, and facilitation techniques
- Ability to influence internal and/or external constituents
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
- Ability to leverage Microsoft Teams for virtual sessions
- Willingness to travel 20–30%
