Job Description

Security Analyst managing vulnerability scanning and exposure programs for GuidePoint Security, a cybersecurity services provider. Advising customers and deploying vulnerability infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and manage vulnerability scanning of internal, external, and cloud networks
  • Plan, design, and implement enterprise vulnerability scanning infrastructure in a hybrid or multi-cloud architecture
  • Deploy vulnerability management infrastructure such as scanners, sensors, and agent configurations on-premise and in the cloud
  • Advise customers on Vulnerability Management best practices
  • Perform Vulnerability Management gap assessments for customers
  • Provide guidance and collaborate with peers on the Vulnerability Management practice team
  • Establish credibility as a trusted advisor to customers
  • Embrace emerging technologies, including AI tools, to work smarter, solve problems, and drive better business outcomes
  • Partner with customers across retail, finance, healthcare, and other verticals to advise, develop, implement, and optimize the vulnerability management lifecycle
  • Scope, plan, and deliver exposure management initiatives for customer risk reduction

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year of information security experience
  • 1+ year of vulnerability engineering experience
  • Must have experience with Rapid 7, Tenable or Qualys Vulnerability Management
  • Advanced practical skills in vulnerability assessment tooling such as Tenable, Rapid7, and Qualys
  • Experience with cloud service providers such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Understanding of operating systems such as Windows Server, Windows Workstations, Mac OSX, RHEL, and Ubuntu Linux
  • Ability to perform advanced functions at the CLI
  • Ability to manage time independently while handling multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies and contribute to a fast-growing company
  • Experience with scripting tasks using BASH, PowerShell, Python, or other native scripting languages is a plus
  • Asset management skills and experience with tools like Axonius and Armis is a plus
  • Experience with aggregation solutions such as Zafran and Nucleus is a plus
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containers, Ci/CD or serverless is a plus
  • Up to 10% travel
  • Sedentary work
  • Substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours a day
  • Close visual acuity to view computer terminal and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours a day
