Job Description
Engenheiro de Dados Sênior projetando plataforma financeira moderna para a Monte Bravo. Atuação em arquitetura, pipelines, Airflow, Redshift, dbt e otimização de dados.
Responsibilities:
- Design Data Engineering solutions with architectural ownership.
- Deploy and operate analytical data platforms in production.
- Respond to incidents, participate in on-call rotations, and work in high-criticality environments.
- Develop modular, testable, version-controlled code in Python.
- Create and maintain Apache Airflow DAGs, sensors, backfills, dependencies, and failure handling.
- Work with cloud MPP Data Warehouses, preferably Amazon Redshift.
- Implement versioned, tested transformations using dbt or equivalent tools.
- Apply Kimball dimensional modeling, including facts, dimensions, granularity, SCDs, bridge tables, and snapshots.
- Use Git, code review, and CI/CD in data projects.
- Model and diagnose performance, demonstrating optimizations with before-and-after metrics.
- Preferred/beneficial: experience with financial and regulatory market data, AWS/Terraform infrastructure, Lakehouse, streaming/CDC, data quality and cataloging, BI, and relevant migrations.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 2 years in an architectural role.
- Proven experience deploying and operating analytical data platforms in production.
- Experience with incidents, on-call duty, and high-criticality environments.
- Advanced SQL, including window functions, recursive CTEs, reading execution plans, and diagnosing skew and disk spill.
- Strong experience with Python for Data Engineering, including Pandas/Polars, typing, and automated testing.
- Experience with Apache Airflow in production, including DAGs, sensors, backfills, dependencies, and failure handling.
- Experience with cloud MPP Data Warehouses, preferably Amazon Redshift; knowledge of Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks is a plus.
- Experience with dbt or equivalent tools for versioned transformations and applying tests.
- Proficiency in Dimensional Modeling (Kimball), including facts, dimensions, granularity, SCD Type 1 and 2, bridge tables, and snapshots.
- Experience with Git, code review, collaborative development, and CI/CD in data projects.
- Experience in performance modeling and diagnosis.
- Nice-to-haves: financial market experience; regulatory data (CVM, BACEN, BSM, ANBIMA); Terraform and AWS; Iceberg, Delta and Lakehouse; Kafka, Debezium and Kinesis; Great Expectations, Soda, DataHub and OpenMetadata; Power BI, Metabase and Looker; relevant migrations with parity validation.
