Job Description
Senior Data Engineer building ingestion, data quality, and graph infrastructure for Inflect’s digital infrastructure marketplace. Scaling InfraSpec and RouteFinder platforms across global teams.
Responsibilities:
- Build, optimize, and scale end-to-end ingestion → catalog → derived pipelines across all core data domains feeding InfraSpec
- Lead technical migration away from legacy and single-owner scripts toward a durable platform
- Architect the greenfield graph database layer for RouteFinder
- Implement and enforce strict data contracts, consistency checks, and quality gates backing the Winston automated intake workflow
- Maintain strict observability and automated testing across all data flows to keep pipeline rework under the 20% target threshold
- Define, enforce, and maintain data schemas and contracts across ingestion pipelines for downstream confidence scoring and matching algorithms
- Serve as the US-based senior anchor on Data Foundation, partnering daily with team members in Poland and the VP of Technology
- Partner with NA Data Science / ML engineers, Intelligence Engine teams, and Trust teams to power downstream capabilities
Requirements:
- 10+ years of dedicated data engineering experience, with demonstrated scope as a senior individual contributor handling complex data platform architectures
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Postgres
- Expert Python coding abilities
- Deep hands-on mastery with modern data warehouse patterns (dbt or equivalent)
- Extensive experience designing large-scale ELT/ETL pipelines, data contracts, schema governance, and robust data modeling paradigms
- Deep practical experience leveraging AWS native services for storage, orchestration, compute, and data processing
- US-based full-time employee
- Working US business hours
- Fluid written and verbal English communication across a global team
- Hands-on experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, AWS Neptune), ideally applied to network topology, geospatial routing, or graph-based search models (bonus qualification)
- Experience implementing real-time or event-driven ingestion architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, etc.) (bonus qualification)
- Direct experience setting up enterprise data observability or data-quality frameworks (Great Expectations, Monte Carlo, Soda, etc.) (bonus qualification)
- Experience building feature pipelines for ML matching models (bonus qualification)
- Familiarity with telecommunications, datacenter, or digital infrastructure domain data (bonus qualification)
