Job Description
Senior Programmer-Sr Data Scientist conducting analyses of real-world data for Syneos Health. Collaborating with teams in a remote environment to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with passionate problem solvers, innovating as a team to help customers achieve their goals
- Assess quality of the data
- Conduct analyses (programming of TFLs)
- Review and input Protocol and SAP
- Conduct longitudinal cohort studies and create study cohorts from scratch
Requirements:
- Highly proficient in SAS or R
- Extensive familiarity with commercial claims and EHR databases, such as Optum, MarketScan, IQVIA PharMetrics, or HealthVerity
- Ability to conduct longitudinal cohort studies, including creating study cohorts, baseline and outcome variables from scratch
- Solid understanding of epidemiologic study designs and methodologies
- Hands-on experience with basic statistical tests, regression models, and survival analysis
- Advanced degree in Biostatistics or Epidemiology (preferred: prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
