Job Description
Senior DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer leading teams and reliability for Smartcat’s AI-powered multilingual content platform. Improving CI/CD, cloud scalability, and production availability.
Responsibilities:
- Manage DevOps and Infrastructure teams
- Improve and maintain technical infrastructure supporting Smartcat development, deployment, and operations
- Ensure availability, scalability, and reliability of staging and production environments
- Define and enforce SRE and DevOps best practices
- Enforce rigorous CI/CD testing and reviews to eliminate release-related production errors
- Maintain staging infrastructure with 99.9% availability
- Implement resilient systems and disaster recovery plans to achieve 99.99% product availability
- Accelerate CI/CD pipelines and environments to decrease lead time
- Build and manage an engineering team across regions and time zones
- Strengthen the hiring process
- Provide expert technical guidance, coaching, and career development
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience leading a team in a fast-growing multinational IT business
- 5 years of experience in DevOps and SRE, maintaining high-RPS distributed products
- Data-driven approach and ability to justify decisions using concrete metrics
- Ability to build relationships with neighboring teams and act as an interface between the team and its environment
- Strong hands-on experience with DevOps practices in a leading role
- Experience building complex CI/CD pipelines
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Experience with various deployment strategies
- Experience implementing secure development environments
- Practical experience developing and maintaining large scalable cloud applications
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with .NET Core, MongoDB, Vue 2/3, Kafka, Elasticsearch, GitLab CI, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Jaeger, and Kubernetes
