Job Description
AI engineering leader advancing FICO's global analytics software platform with LLM-powered fraud detection and decision automation. Leading teams, model governance, monitoring, and scalable responsible AI systems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing engineering team
- Recruit top talent and set direction for hiring strategies
- Drive design and implementation of AI solutions for LLM-powered decision automation, fraud detection, and process optimization
- Partner with stakeholders and product managers to translate business priorities into engineering roadmaps
- Define best practices for model evaluation, governance, and monitoring
- Build and maintain systems for continuous model monitoring, A/B testing, backtesting, and drift detection
- Collaborate with UX designers, product teams, and engineering leaders to align AI capabilities across the platform
- Set the technical vision for robust, scalable, and responsibly governed AI systems
- Deliver transformative AI solutions addressing real business challenges and advancing FICO's platform capabilities
Requirements:
- Proven experience building and leading engineering teams delivering advanced AI solutions
- Deep expertise in Large Language Models and their application to decision automation, fraud detection, and process optimization
- 15+ years of industry experience in software, machine learning, or data engineering
- Experience leading complex, large-scale projects and applying LLMs to real-world challenges
- Effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring experience
- Hands-on experience with model fine-tuning, in-context learning, and custom evaluation frameworks
- Strong command of backtesting, A/B testing, and drift detection methodologies
- Understanding of model monitoring, governance, and compliance practices
- Ability to architect scalable, secure AI and data-driven systems
- Familiarity with AI compliance and regulatory requirements
- Working knowledge of modern software engineering practices and design patterns
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field
