Job Description
Senior Financial Analyst analyzing healthcare financial data, budgets, KPIs, and reports for Bon Secours Mercy Health. Building models and supporting operational decisions remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, interpret, and identify trends in data
- Develop standard and ad hoc data reports for quality reporting, performance improvement activities, and operational reporting
- Examine historical and projected financial data to support financial decisions
- Perform financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting
- Present financial information and models concisely and clearly
- Manage financial relationships with vendors when applicable
- Perform financial reclassifications and adjustments related to approved contract changes
- Resolve questions regarding Workday cost centers
- Review and manage directly paid expenses to streamline invoicing
- Review monthly invoices and validate savings from approved gain-share initiatives
- Assist with data imports and exports
- Perform periodic audits of data sources
- Maintain current knowledge of healthcare trends and operations
- Support other teams and participate in assigned projects as a financial resource
- Review and analyze financial statements and reports
- Track KPIs and prepare financial reports
- Assist with budgeting and monthly close processes
- Understand key business drivers
- Assist clients with financial guidance
- Develop financial projections and build financial models
- Perform research and analysis as required
- Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or comparable discipline; or combination of post-secondary education and experience (required)
- 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or accounting (required)
- Experience with both capital and operating expense management (preferred)
- Healthcare experience (preferred)
