Job Description

Senior Financial Analyst analyzing budgets, KPIs, financial reports, and projections for Bon Secours Mercy Health. Developing data reports and models supporting healthcare operations and performance improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, interpret, and identify trends in data
  • Develop standard and ad hoc data reports for quality reporting, performance improvement activities, and operational reporting
  • Examine historical and projected financial data to support financial decisions
  • Perform financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting
  • Manage financial relationships with vendors when applicable
  • Process financial reclassifications and adjustments resulting from approved contract changes
  • Resolve questions regarding Workday cost centers
  • Review and manage directly paid expenses to streamline invoicing
  • Conduct monthly invoice reviews
  • Validate savings achieved by approved gain share eligible initiatives
  • Assist with data imports and exports
  • Perform periodic audits of data sources
  • Maintain current knowledge of healthcare trends and operations
  • Support other teams and participate in assigned projects as a financial resource
  • Review and analyze financial statements and reports
  • Track KPIs and prepare financial reports
  • Assist with budgeting and monthly close processes
  • Understand key business drivers
  • Provide clients with financial guidance
  • Develop financial projections and build financial models
  • Perform research and analysis as required
  • Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or comparable discipline; or combination of post-secondary education and experience (required)
  • 3+ year of experience in financial planning and analysis or accounting (required)
  • Experience with both capital and operating expense management (preferred)
  • Healthcare experience (preferred)
