Job Description
Senior Infrastructure Engineer building cloud-native platforms for FCamara, a technology and innovation services group. Automating infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, self-service capabilities, and reliability for global e-commerce initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and evolve cloud-native platform infrastructure
- Empower engineering teams through continuous automation, infrastructure-as-code, and self-service capabilities
- Design, build, and operate robust cloud-native infrastructure focused on automation, scalability, and high availability
- Maintain Linux and Kubernetes-based systems using automated workflows and modern pipelines
- Implement self-service capabilities to reduce cognitive load and empower development teams
- Ensure system reliability, high performance, and fault tolerance for large-scale distributed systems during peak traffic events
- Contribute to technical strategy and roadmaps aligned with global business objectives
- Partner with Principals, Engineering Leads, and developers to translate requirements into scalable platform solutions
- Optimize cloud cost efficiency and system reliability using automated processes and modern infrastructure patterns
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to foster continuous improvement and engineering excellence
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in similar roles
- Solid experience designing, building, and maintaining complex platform infrastructure and distributed systems
- Deep knowledge of multi-cloud infrastructure environments, such as Azure and GCP
- Strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and Linux administration
- Proven experience with modern CI/CD patterns and tools, such as ArgoCD and Jenkins
- Practical programming skills in Python or Golang for platform tool development
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and platform automation
- Experience implementing cloud cost optimization strategies (FinOps) — nice to have
- Solid background in security and compliance standards for platform engineering — nice to have
- Experience with internal developer platforms (IDPs) and dev-ex enablement — nice to have
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across multi-disciplinary teams
- Technical leadership and mentorship capabilities
- Focus on resilience, psychological safety, and operational excellence
- Professional proficiency in English is required
- Must live in Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Estonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, or Brazil
- No visa sponsorship or arrangements provided by FCamara
