Job Description
Senior Java Developer writing code for S&P Global analysts to publish equity analysis and research. Collaborating in an Agile environment to develop tools and produce high quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
- The work you do will be used every single day, it’s the essential code you’ll write used by S&P Global analysts to publish news and provide equity analysis, research, opinion, and performance data.
- Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in Agile software development environment.
- Develop tools and applications by producing clean, high quality and efficient code.
- Champion best practices and serve as a subject matter authority.
- Design & develop solutions to support key business needs.
- Produce system design documents and lead technical walkthroughs.
- Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/ Master’s Degree in Computer Science , Information Systems or equivalent
- 6 + years of experience in application development using AWS & Java based frameworks
- Experience in developing solution with AWS cloud technologies
- Strong Core Java skills including Multithreading, Data Structures
- Strong hands-on experience in enabling a CI / CD pipeline, Terraform , Docker etc
- Command of essential technologies: Spring Boot Microservices , Versioning tools like Git, Gitlab, CICD pipeline
- Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test-driven development.
- Good to have knowledge of Python programming language
- Good to have knowledge of any Relational or NoSQL database
- Preference will be given to AWS Certified professionals.
