Job Description
Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer und Consultant für Cloud-, Hybrid- und On-Premises-Plattformen. Beratung, Implementierung und Modernisierung von Kubernetes-Umgebungen bei evoila Frankfurt GmbH.
Responsibilities:
- Advise customers on Kubernetes, cloud-native, and platform engineering strategies
- Analyze requirements and design modern developer and container platforms
- Architect, design, and implement Kubernetes environments across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises scenarios
- Conduct workshops, assessments, and technical strategy discussions
- Introduce DevSecOps, GitOps, and automation concepts
- Support Kubernetes migrations and the modernization of existing platforms
- Support technology decisions and evaluate suitable platform and infrastructure components
- Work closely with cloud, security, data, and software teams
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships and support presales activities
- Actively share knowledge within the team and with customers
Requirements:
- Professional experience, a degree, or vocational training in IT
- Several years of experience in Kubernetes, cloud-native, and platform engineering environments
- Experience designing, building, and operating Kubernetes platforms
- Solid knowledge of container technologies, Linux, and automation
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD
- Customer-focused, structured, and self-directed approach to work
- Very good German language skills (at least C1)
- Good English language skills (at least B2)
- Ideally, experience with AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift, Rancher, or VKS
- Ideally, experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, particularly with a focus on vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS)
- Ideally, knowledge of GitOps, DevSecOps, and observability
- Ideally, experience with multi-cloud, hybrid-cloud, or private-cloud environments
- Ideally, expertise in Terraform, Argo CD, Flux, or comparable technologies
- Ideally, relevant certifications such as CKA, CKAD, CKS, or cloud certifications
- Ideally, experience conducting workshops and technical consulting projects
