Job Description
Senior Legal Specialist at Boulevard supporting legal operations in a fully remote setting. Collaborating with business teams to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a first point of contact for inbound legal, compliance, and operational requests from across the business.
- Gather facts, identify issues, spot risks, and provide preliminary guidance using established playbooks and frameworks.
- Escalate matters appropriately, providing attorneys with context, analysis, recommendations, and proposed next steps.
- Draft, review, and manage a broad range of routine commercial agreements and shepherd them through signature and renewal.
- Build and maintain Legal systems, knowledge resources, playbooks, templates, and self-service tools.
- Identify recurring questions, bottlenecks, and sources of friction, developing scalable solutions to address them.
- Pilot, evaluate, and roll out AI tools across Legal.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in legal operations, contract management, corporate paralegal, compliance, or a comparable business-facing legal role.
- Experience serving as a trusted resource to business stakeholders and helping teams navigate complex or ambiguous situations.
- Ability to identify issues, assess risk, distinguish between routine and novel matters.
- Comfortable reviewing and managing common commercial agreements such as NDAs, vendor contracts, and order forms.
- Strong process orientation with experience improving workflows, documentation, and systems.
- Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and drive work to completion without constant oversight.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
