Job Description

Senior Medical Writer creating medically accurate promotional content for Precision AQ, a payer marketing agency. Conducting literature reviews and supporting pharmaceutical client communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as content point person on assigned accounts
  • Develop high-quality, medically accurate content in print or digital format for medical communication resources
  • Deliver projects according to established timelines
  • Conduct literature reviews and develop annotations supporting promotional claims
  • Communicate proactively and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain quality of work in line with science, good publication practice, and company rules and policies
  • Work with account teams to refine content according to strategic imperatives
  • Communicate medical content with internal teams and pharmaceutical clients
  • Attend medical, legal, and regulatory review meetings as necessary
  • Participate in internal team, project kick-off, status, client, brainstorm, and review meetings
  • Contribute ideas for new business proposals and tactical planning
  • Mentor junior-level staff
  • Travel for occasional client meetings

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in life sciences
  • BA/BS in English combined with experience in a pharmaceutical agency, medical communications company or healthcare advertising
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the medical communication, pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry
  • Command of American Medical Association (AMA) style
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with scientific search engines including PubMed and Google Scholar
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • High analytical ability
  • Ability to prioritize deadline-sensitive projects and juggle competing client priorities
  • Team- and detail-oriented
