Job Description
Immigration lawyer guiding visa, work-permit, and mobility compliance for Remote’s global employment platform. Providing client counsel, case escalations, applications, and team mentorship remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor assigned cases through effective utilization of case management and billing systems
- Provide guidance for specific travel needs, counsel on the immigration process, and serve as a point of contact for business travel and sponsorship cases
- Provide legal and strategic guidance on service delivery of immigration compliance to clients
- Take ownership of senior-level escalations to support Mobility Specialists
- Assist leadership in managing large projects
- Monitor the Mobility dashboard, communication and help channels to ensure SLA response times and accurate status reporting
- Establish in-house immigration services to increase revenue generation and efficiency and improve customer satisfaction
- Analyze, prepare and submit visa/work permit applications
- Mentor and support Mobility Specialists and Coordinators
- Contribute to training documentation and support training rollouts for process changes
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Monitor immigration law and regulatory changes, maintain ongoing compliance, and control internal documentation
- Apply immigration knowledge to provide solution-based responses on complex client cases
- Report to the Manager, Mobility within the Mobility team
Requirements:
- Immigration lawyer licensed to practice in Germany
- Extensive experience in immigration compliance, global mobility, or similar immigration roles
- In-depth understanding of immigration and typical immigration compliance processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Previous tech industry or hyper-growth/scaling environment experience is ideal
- Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus
- Remote work experience is a plus
- Strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency
