Job Description
Senior immigration lawyer guiding German mobility compliance for Remote’s global employment platform. Managing visa cases, client counsel, escalations, regulatory changes, and mobility-team mentorship.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor assigned cases through effective utilization of case management and billing systems
- Provide guidance for specific travel needs, counsel on the immigration process, and serve as a point of contact for business travel and sponsorship cases
- Provide legal and strategic guidance on service delivery of immigration compliance to clients
- Take ownership of senior-level escalations to support Mobility Specialists
- Assist leadership in managing large projects
- Monitor the Mobility dashboard, communication and help channels to ensure SLA response times and accurate status reporting
- Establish and improve in-house immigration services to increase revenue generation and efficiency and improve customer satisfaction
- Analyze, prepare and submit visa/work permit applications
- Mentor and support Mobility Specialists and Coordinators
- Contribute to training documentation and support training rollouts for process changes
- Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Maintain and monitor immigration law and internal documentation for ongoing regulatory compliance
- Apply immigration knowledge to provide solution-based responses on complex client cases
Requirements:
- Immigration lawyer licensed to practice in Germany
- Extensive experience in immigration compliance, global mobility, or similar immigration roles
- In-depth understanding of immigration and typical immigration compliance processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Previous experience in the tech industry or a hyper-growth and scaling environment is ideal
- Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus
- Experience working remotely is a plus
- Strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency
- Ability to monitor and maintain immigration law knowledge and regulatory compliance
