Job Description
Senior Project Manager leading complex global SAP ERP and MDM implementations for an IT services company. Managing delivery, stakeholders, project finances, risks, and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee planning, execution, and successful completion of projects within timelines, scope, quality, and budget
- Coordinate cross-functional resources and manage team dynamics
- Engage with clients and stakeholders while balancing technical and operational requirements
- Align project outcomes with broader business objectives
- Ensure adherence to project management, reporting, governance, and quality standards
- Work across Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps methodologies
- Configure MDO software and guide team members in configuration activities
- Develop scalable and supportable solutions aligned with industry best practices
- Support creation, review, and execution of test cases against acceptance criteria
- Complete and standardize project documentation, including design, implementation, test scripts, use cases, and knowledge transfer documents
- Identify, debug, track, and report testing issues
- Track project burn, effort utilization, cycle time, milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource utilization
- Identify delivery risks and implement corrective actions
- Understand client business requirements and define project scope
- Identify requirement changes, additions, and gaps and present solution options
- Communicate deviations from the Business Blueprint or Statement of Work
- Initiate and manage change requests
- Facilitate functional and project discussions with internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers
- Secure stakeholder support for issue resolution
- Build collaborative relationships with business functions, partners, customers, and internal teams
- Evaluate and communicate risks and benefits of solution options
- Lead, motivate, and develop project teams
- Identify talent gaps and facilitate upskilling and knowledge development
- Implement retention and team-development strategies
- Drive continuous improvement in team performance and delivery standards
- Encourage training, certifications, product updates, and professional development
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and performance-oriented team culture
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Engineering degree, preferably with specialization in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 14–20 years of overall experience, with strong experience in project management and software delivery lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and practices
- Sound knowledge of SAP ERP
- Good understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts, processes, and practices
- Working knowledge of databases such as Oracle and SQL Server
- Hands-on experience with project collaboration and tracking tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams
- Willingness to work across different global time zones
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder and customer management capabilities
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- High attention to detail and focus on quality
- Ability to manage multiple projects and implementations simultaneously
