Job Description
Senior QA Engineer building manual and automated testing for Alteva RCM’s healthcare revenue cycle technology. Establishing QA frameworks, release gates, and validation across Salesforce, .NET, and AI workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Own test strategy and test case development across the internal product portfolio
- Design and maintain smoke, happy path, regression, and release-readiness testing mapped to release stages
- Set up and maintain automated test runs, including nightly checks where appropriate
- Build and maintain automation frameworks from scratch
- Perform manual and automated testing across Salesforce sandbox environments, production validation workflows, .NET-based services, and AI tool outputs
- Own QA sign-off recommendations for releases and communicate release risk when coverage is incomplete
- Build a structured QA workflow with clear test cases, ownership, and sign-off
- Document end-to-end business workflows and map test coverage to them
- Define and enforce release gates with developers and the Technology Lead
- Work with operations team leads to understand workflow failures
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes, document findings, and prevent recurrence
- Mentor and provide technical direction to the QA Engineer on the team
- Contribute to a proactive quality culture
Requirements:
- 5+ years in QA engineering with demonstrated experience in both manual and automated testing
- Experience with API testing, including REST and/or SOAP, in environments with multiple system integrations
- Proficiency in SQL for validating data accuracy across system integrations
- Comfortable with version control such as Git, including working alongside developers and managing test code
- Salesforce experience required, with comfort in sandbox-based testing and production validation support
- Strong background in building automation frameworks from scratch, not just maintaining existing ones
- Experience testing AI or ML outputs is a strong plus, especially validating non-deterministic systems
- Familiarity with .NET environments is a strong plus
- Ability to write clear, thorough test documentation that non-technical stakeholders can understand
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work directly with operations leads, developers, and product
- Background in healthcare RCM, medical billing, or complex operational workflows is a strong plus and will accelerate ramp-up
- Self-directed and comfortable operating without a mature QA playbook
Benefits:
- health, dental, and vision insurance
- employee assistance plan
- paid family leave
- short-term disability and life insurance
- 401(k) plan with employer match
- flexible spending accounts
- employee discount program
- employee referral program
