Job Description
Senior Software Engineer building scalable backend systems for Sivad Consulting’s AI-native mortgage servicing platform. Owning features end-to-end across product and infrastructure teams.
Responsibilities:
- Own features end-to-end in a startup environment with high autonomy
- Build and scale backend systems handling billions of dollars in mortgage transactions
- Leverage AI tools to write and ship production code, with human review and AI assistance
- Design and build robust, extensible infrastructure for evolving and complex federal, state, and agency regulations
- Work with Product and Design to define the best customer experience
- Develop a deep understanding of the complex mortgage servicing industry
- Learn new concepts and technologies quickly and apply them to challenging problems
- Work across product and platform/infrastructure teams based on team matching
Requirements:
- 3-10 years of experience to join the engineering team
- 4+ years of software engineering experience building quality software applications at scale
- Strong communicator; able to work cross-functionally to balance product and technical requirements
- Proficient with AI coding tools (CoPilot, Cursor, etc.) in daily development workflow
- System design experience for large-scale distributed systems
- Strong DSA and algorithm fundamentals; must be able to hand-code solutions without AI assistance
- Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred
- Great at building scalable systems from scratch with a fast turnaround
- Experience with one or more of: web application development, mobile application development, building large-scale distributed systems, or infrastructure management
- Time management skills to maximize efficiency in a fast-paced startup environment
- Familiarity with Python, React, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform
