Job Description
Senior Software Engineer developing and maintaining front-end architecture for AI-native products. Collaborating with ML Engineers, Product, and Design for advanced AI-driven user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Own and implement the front-end architecture for AI-native product surfaces, including real-time streaming interfaces, agentic workflows, and model-assisted UIs
- Apply scalable patterns for integrating LLM APIs, WebSockets, and Server-Sent Events (SSE) into high-performance production front-end systems
- Contribute high-quality, production-ready code to complex feature blocks and help establish robust technical patterns for the immediate team
- Balance client-side performance, application latency, and user experience considerations during feature design
- Partner closely with Product, Design, and ML Platform teams to scope, design, and deliver advanced AI-driven user experiences
- Collaborate with internal frontend engineering guilds to align with broader corporate engineering standards and share localized AI implementation strategies
- Communicate technical trade-offs, scope constraints, and UI architecture choices clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Monitor and optimize system performance and user experience metrics across our front-end surface area
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex client-side performance bottlenecks in our distributed frontend and service ecosystem
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional front-end engineering experience in a production environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React)
- Practical experience working with asynchronous data streams and state management
- Direct experience building user interfaces for AI/GenAI applications (e.g., streaming chat UI, prompt execution layouts, or model output configurations)
- Solid understanding of browser-side performance profiles related to long-lived connections, server-sent events (SSE), or high-frequency DOM rendering for real-time text streaming
- Experience building or maintaining interoperability layers between Dart and TypeScript microfrontends
- Familiarity with client-side AI performance tracking metrics, such as Time to First Token (TTFT) and user-correction rates
- Experience working in distributed, cloud-based architectures and continuous delivery (CI/CD) agile environments
Benefits:
- A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
- Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
- 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package
