Job Description
Senior Solutions Engineer supporting Flare’s cybersecurity SaaS sales with threat intelligence expertise. Demonstrating exposure risks, managing POCs, and briefing customers and security communities.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the sales team to articulate the value of the Flare platform to prospective customers
- Understand customer requirements, answer technical questions, and demonstrate platform capabilities by finding prospect exposures
- Develop use cases and technical demos, and manage Proofs of Concept end-to-end
- Build relationships with technical stakeholders in customer organizations
- Deliver threat briefings to sector ISACs, connecting active cybercrime campaigns to member-organization exposure
- Interpret Flare findings for enterprise customers and prospects, including leaked credentials, exposed infrastructure, threat actor mentions, and infostealer infections
- Train sales team members on the technical aspects of Flare’s platform
- Provide technical consulting across Flare, supporting product, marketing, and other initiatives
- Collaborate with the Threat Intelligence Research team and feed field observations into research and product
- Contribute findings to external content where appropriate
- Stay current on the CTI and cybercrime ecosystem and map knowledge to customer risk
- Represent Flare at events, speaking engagements, and webinars
- Contribute to tutorials, videos, and other content
- Travel as needed
- Work in the DACH region using English and German
Requirements:
- Relevant pre- and/or post-sales experience from a cybersecurity vendor in threat intelligence, or relevant client support experience in cybersecurity services
- Hands-on familiarity with stealer logs, phishing kits, underground forums and markets, Telegram, and related actors and infrastructure
- Ability to write simple automations in Python or Go
- Comfortable serving as the primary technical contact during sales processes, leading demos, owning POCs, and resolving blockers
- Keen attention to detail and thorough, accurate documentation
- Ability to consistently keep stakeholders updated
- Cybersecurity, OSINT, or threat intelligence expertise in cybercrime, e-crime, or dark web investigations; incident response; penetration testing or red teaming; or threat hunting and research
- Comfortable delivering threat briefings to community or ISAC audiences
- Ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences, from analysts to executives
- Comfortable with structured processes and startup ambiguity
- Curiosity, empathy, and care for clients and colleagues
- Values feedback, radical candor, and continuous improvement
- Bilingual English/German for work in the DACH region
- Flexibility to travel as needed
- Experience building or refining pre-sales and technical sales processes is an advantage
- Ability to create technical enablement content is an advantage
- Existing relationships in sector ISACs or security working groups are an advantage
- Public research footprint is an advantage
- Experience working closely with product, marketing, or customer success is an advantage
- Early-stage startup experience is an advantage
- Willingness to contribute outside the role when helpful is an advantage
