Job Description
Backend software engineer building scalable, secure systems for Cyberhaven’s data-security platform. Designing Go microservices that process billions of real-time events across enterprise endpoints.
Responsibilities:
- Design, extend, and optimize large-scale, highly scalable, fault-tolerant systems handling large graph datasets at enterprise scale
- Process billions of events from hundreds of thousands of endpoints in real time with sub-second latency requirements
- Architect and implement security products to protect customer data
- Solve real-world scaling problems through performance analysis and troubleshooting
- Work with a modern microservices-based stack including Go, Kubernetes, BigTable, BigQuery, Spanner, Redis, Docker, and Etcd
- Write secure-by-design, hardened software that withstands real-world attacks
- Process untrusted data and communicate with hundreds of thousands of endpoints over the internet
- Potentially build API-level connectors integrating with enterprise SaaS applications
Requirements:
- Experienced backend software engineer with a strong track record building backends actively used at scale
- Significant contributions to and experience extending software architecture
- Experience developing large applications in Go
- Experience using databases at very large scale
- Experience profiling and optimizing distributed code using large databases and streaming platforms
- Experience with microservices and Kubernetes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Availability to frequently communicate with distributed teams in Europe and the US
- Customer-centric mindset
- Based in Bangalore for the India location, or EU-based for the EU Remote location
