Job Description
Software Engineer architecting and developing enterprise products for FICO, a global analytics software company. Guiding architecture, databases, SDLC practices, technical quality, and product innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the technical architecture and design of a world-class enterprise-level product
- Enhance productivity and quality, coach and solve complex problems within technology areas
- Help set the direction and overall vision for product development
- Develop product architecture and create software architecture within the SDLC process
- Provide technical expertise and mentoring to the product development team
- Work on complex projects, assignments, and issues, influencing related areas
- Evaluate new design specifications and raise quality standards
- Address architectural concerns
- Support sales and professional services teams
- Evaluate software product stability, compatibility, scalability, interoperability, and performance
- Work closely with customers, sales, professional services, and product management to architect, design, and develop a feature-rich product
- Write product specifications and document product features for wider audiences
- Produce and maintain product demos
- Articulate designs with architects and discuss strategy and requirements with teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or related disciplines, or relevant experience in software architecture, design, development, and testing
- Expertise in architecture design with a strong foundation in architecture models and data structures
- Demonstrated innovation within a software team
- Expertise in database concepts and programming
- Ability to quickly learn and implement new solutions and technologies
- Experience writing product specifications and documenting product features for wider audiences
- Experience producing and maintaining demos
- Ability to articulate designs with architects and discuss strategy and requirements with teams
- Knowledge of software development life-cycle best practices
- Knowledge of agile methodologies
- Knowledge of coding standards and secure coding standards
- Knowledge of code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
