Job Description

Software Engineer specializing in agentic infrastructure within Mirantis, a Kubernetes-native AI company. Responsible for developing features, mentoring, and engaging in open-source collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and iterate on well-scoped features for agentic/AI infrastructure services.
  • Write readable, tested code and participate in reviews; help improve our CI/CD and developer experience.
  • Join design discussions and RFCs; provide feedback and propose pragmatic solutions.
  • Help containerize, deploy, and troubleshoot services on Kubernetes.
  • Triage issues, reproduce bugs, contribute patches, and engage respectfully with contributors/users.
  • Add and maintain user and developer docs for the areas you touch.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one of: Go, Rust, or Python.
  • Experience building and consuming APIs (REST and/or gRPC).
  • Hands-on with containers (Docker) and Kubernetes fundamentals (pods, deployments, services, ingress).
  • Familiarity with distributed systems concepts (concurrency, messaging, retries, idempotency).
  • Comfort with Linux, Git, and modern CI/CD.
  • Experience using AI-powered coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Cline, Aider.chat).
  • Clear communication and collaborative working style.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Problem-solving capabilities with proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Exposure to agentic workflows, autonomous agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and serverless AI functions.
  • Experience with GPU-based workloads or inference systems.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes add-ons (CNI/CSI) and tooling; Cluster API exposure is a plus.
  • Observability experience (Prometheus, Grafana) for monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Contributions to open source projects (any level); experience with operators or client libraries is a plus.
  • Polyglot mindset and willingness to learn new languages as needed.
