Job Description
Staff Accountant managing general ledger accounting, payroll allocations, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Supporting Strive Pharmacy’s personalized compounding healthcare mission.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Analyze financial data and identify trends
- Allocate costs to appropriate companies, general ledger accounts, and cost centers
- Ensure accurate allocation of expenses to specific projects or departments
- Reconcile payroll allocations to general ledger accounts
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience
- Foundational knowledge of GAAP and payroll regulations
- Ability to investigate financial discrepancies, analyze GL variances, and resolve root-cause errors to ensure audit readiness
- Proficiency with accounting software such as NetSuite or QuickBooks
- Advanced Excel capabilities, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
- High attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with team members
