Job Description
Lead technical direction and execution of high-impact projects for a fintech company. Mentor engineers while focusing on design, development, and deployment processes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and design leadership across high impact projects that directly impact business goals
- Set strategic technical directions for your engineering team
- Partner with the designers and product managers to create an engaging and transparent customer experience
- Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables as a highly hands on engineer
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions
- Influence and mentor a distributed set of engineers
Requirements:
- 8 - 12+ years of professional experience
- Experience building scaled web-based applications with deep understanding of business goals
- Exceptional technical design and technical communication skills.
- Strong proficiency with one or more programming languages (Ruby on Rails/React)
- Strong foundations in UI development and product security and or DevOps is helpful
- Able to negotiate trade offs between product and engineering priorities to maximize the business value of engineering effort
- Excellent communication skills
