Job Description
Supported Living Program Manager at Wall Residences, an employee-owned disability services company. Managing in-home supports, skill-building, safety, and community inclusion for adults with intellectual disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Wall Residences' Supported Living/In-Home program for adults with intellectual disabilities
- Support individuals with skill-building and routine, general, and safety supports in home- and community-based settings
- Promote self-direction, socialization, adaptive skills, autonomy, initiative, and self-awareness
- Assist individuals in maintaining independence in their own homes with access to 24-hour support
- Ensure health and safety and address activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
- Provide or coordinate specialized supervision and ongoing or intermittent intervention
- Develop and generalize skills that promote self-direction and social connections
- Develop supportive relationships with Direct Support Professional Staff, individuals served, and families
- Connect individuals to meaningful community activities
- Travel within the Winchester and Northern Virginia regional area as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field is required
- Clinical background with working knowledge of person-centered service development and positive behavior supports
- Ability to develop supportive relationships with Direct Support Professional Staff, individuals who receive services, and their families
- Background connecting people to meaningful community activities
- At least one year of experience in the field of developmental disabilities (DD) is preferred
- Two years' experience supervising employees is preferred
- Home office and internet access required
- Active driver's license with a good driving record
- Excellent references
- Criminal background check with acceptable results
