Job Description

Venue partnerships manager coordinating sourcing, negotiations, bookings, and relationships across US and Canadian event venues. Supporting an entrepreneurial community’s in-person events remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for venue communications across the US and Canada
  • Manage relationships with existing venue partners and ensure responsiveness and professionalism
  • Own day-to-day venue operations for the events calendar
  • Confirm availability, coordinate logistics and requirements, and ensure venues are ready and briefed before each event
  • Research, identify, and contact new venues in target US and Canadian cities
  • Negotiate venue rates, availability, and terms
  • Manage contracts, bookings, and cancellations
  • Build and maintain a database of venue contacts, pricing, capacity, amenities, and past performance
  • Troubleshoot venue-related issues and escalate when necessary
  • Coordinate with events and community teams on venue selection, event format, audience size, and city strategy
  • Monitor venue quality and member/host feedback
  • Resolve or flag recurring venue issues
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on venue status, new-venue pipeline, and upcoming bookings

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in venue management, venue sourcing, event operations, or vendor/partnership relationship management
  • Comfortable managing relationships and logistics remotely across multiple cities and time zones without in-person oversight
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident representing the client professionally to external venue partners
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to manage a growing portfolio of venues and contacts independently
  • Comfortable with outreach and negotiation, including cold-contacting new venues and securing favourable terms
  • Familiarity with the US and Canadian events/hospitality landscape is a strong plus
  • Self-starter comfortable with routine administration and ad hoc problem-solving
  • Based in, or closely aligned with, US or Canadian working hours
