Job Description

Vice President leading LandSolutions’ U.S. growth and business development across land access, infrastructure, energy, and telecommunications services. Building markets, strategic accounts, pipelines, and the U.S. business development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute LandSolutions' U.S. growth strategy across priority markets, sectors, service lines, and accounts
  • Identify, develop, and convert new client and market opportunities
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers and establish LandSolutions as a trusted partner
  • Develop strategic account and pursuit plans for sustainable, profitable growth
  • Maintain a qualified pipeline and provide visibility into opportunities, forecasts, risks, and priorities
  • Partner with Operations and Finance to align growth opportunities with delivery capacity, commercial expectations, and margin objectives
  • Lead and coach the U.S. business development team
  • Establish scalable approaches to account planning, pipeline management, opportunity qualification, CRM use, forecasting, and pursuit management
  • Establish roles and accountability across business development, operations, finance, marketing, and executive leadership during major pursuits
  • Identify new markets, expanded service offerings, strategic partnerships, alliances, and acquisition opportunities
  • Participate in selected cross-border opportunities involving U.S. and Canadian capabilities
  • Contribute to enterprise strategic planning and longer-term growth decisions
  • Define marketing and growth-enablement strategy supporting U.S. expansion
  • Develop a client-centered sales story for pursuits and market-facing activities
  • Guide industry presence, thought leadership, conferences, target-account campaigns, and pursuit materials
  • Work with internal and external resources to focus marketing investment on commercial growth
  • Report directly to the CEO
  • Establish a disciplined U.S. growth engine, strengthen the qualified pipeline, advance strategic accounts, improve forecasting and CRM discipline, develop the U.S. business development team, and support future market and growth decisions

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to build new markets and win new business, including developing senior client relationships from a cold start
  • Significant experience in long-cycle, relationship-driven, multi-stakeholder B2B sales
  • Relevant industry experience in right-of-way, land services, utilities, infrastructure, engineering, environmental services, energy, or a closely related consulting/professional services environment
  • Executive-level credibility and ability to work effectively with senior clients and internal leadership
  • Experience developing and executing market, account, and business development strategies
  • Strong commercial judgment, including opportunity qualification, pipeline management, forecasting, and pursuit strategy
  • Experience building, coaching, and developing business development professionals and seller-doers
  • Ability to balance strategy with execution and personally open doors with prospective clients
  • Understanding of marketing, industry presence, thought leadership, and account-based campaigns as business development support
  • Experience contributing to enterprise strategy, partnerships, and broader value-creation initiatives
  • M&A-related experience is an asset but is not required
