Job Description
Vice President leading oncology-focused health-science communications programs at Spectrum Science. Managing clients, teams, strategic deliverables, account finances, and new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Support or lead the Client Relationship Leader role, depending on the account
- Drive interwoven programs spanning corporate communications, scientific and data milestones, product approval and launch communications, digital and social strategy, internal communications, KOL development, advocacy relations, executive visibility, patient and HCP engagement, and campaign development and implementation
- Manage all facets of multidimensional, interwoven teams
- Provide sound strategic counsel and ensure progress, action, results, high-quality service, and execution
- Develop knowledge of client industry landscapes, scientific approaches, and business objectives to identify strategic opportunities
- Partner with intermedia teams to develop strategic programs meeting client goals
- Work with senior leadership to expand strategic thinking and identify growth opportunities
- Review complex strategic scientific communications materials and deliverables
- Lead plans and high-level deliverables, including yearly planning and medical meeting planning
- Participate in all-agency and IAT meetings as the face of Spectrum
- Partner with program management to manage account financials, staffing, projections, budget tracking, monthly billing packages, and client budget recommendations
- Anticipate client needs, ensure deadlines and priorities are managed, and facilitate effective stakeholder communication
- Participate in agency activities and professional development opportunities
- Supervise junior staff and support their professional development
- Identify and champion account-specific and agency-wide visibility opportunities
- Contribute to new business opportunities
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in communications, English or similar major
- At least 8 years of agency experience, with a focus in health and science
- Prior experience working with oncology brands or products is required
- Experience working in cross-functional teams preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Deep understanding of client subject matter and industry landscape
- Ability to manage multiple projects and/or accounts simultaneously
- Extreme attention to detail

- Ability to excel in a team environment as well as work independently
- Resourceful and effective problem solver
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to translate business needs into practical applications of AI, aligning tools and technologies with strategic goals
