Job Description
Video Editor at STERRY crafting high-performing video advertisements for online platforms. Engaging in the full lifecycle of video ad creation with a focus on client success.
Responsibilities:
- Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
- Take a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications
- Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects to elevate production value
- Create rough and final cuts while maintaining high standards of quality control
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running across all deliverables
- Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process to ensure brand and narrative alignment
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
- Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Film, Multimedia, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is a plus
- A standout portfolio or equivalent hands-on experience is just as valued
- 3-5 years of experience in video editing and/or digital advertising, with a focus on video ads
- Proven track record of creating high-performing video ads for online platforms (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X) and motion graphics tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects)
- Strong understanding of digital advertising metrics and analytics
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong time-management and organizational skills, and the ability to handle ad hoc tasks in a dynamic environment.
