Job Description
Fidelity VP leading retirement-services retention teams across benefits outsourcing and recordkeeping. Driving rebid strategy, client retention, compliance, and talent development.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of seven to ten Retention Executives
- Drive rebid strategy, proactive contract extension efforts, competitive intelligence gathering, and development of timely, accurate, compelling retention proposals
- Support retention opportunities across Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, Health and Welfare, Non-Qualified, Managed Accounts, and HSA/RA solutions
- Develop the sales, consulting, and relationship management capabilities of Retention Executives
- Develop subject matter experts across key products, industries, and retention disciplines
- Establish and execute overall retention strategy with the Head of Workplace Investing Retention
- Oversee team capacity and resource allocation
- Drive associate development initiatives to maximize retention results
- Serve as a Supervisory Principal with responsibility for supervision, compliance oversight, and regulatory adherence of registered representative direct reports
- Establish team goals, performance metrics, and reporting frameworks
- Oversee deal assignments and manage team capacity and workloads
- Guide negotiation strategies for complex and strategic client opportunities
- Collaborate with Segment Heads, Team Leads, Managing Directors, and Retention Executives
- Identify industry trends, competitive developments, and retention best practices
- Foster a high-performing, engaged, and empowered team culture
- Build relationships with internal and external talent sources to develop a future talent pipeline
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements involving customer communications, licensing, sales materials, and client-facing presentations
Requirements:
- 15+ years of progressive Business Development and Retention experience within the benefits outsourcing, recordkeeping, and consulting industries
- People management experience
- At least an undergraduate degree (bachelor’s degree)
- Experience building alliances and influencing key decision makers at all levels
- Competitive drive and determination
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Presentation skills
- People development skills
- Proven experience delivering outsourced service solutions
- Strong understanding of industry dynamics, competitive market trends, and financial drivers
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Series 7, 63, and 24 required within 90 days of hire
- Compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures
