Job Description

Account Manager guiding employer clients through health-benefit renewals, cost savings, and growth opportunities. Building trusted broker relationships for Gravie’s small and midsize business customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Work cross functionally with a dedicated Account Management team, including underwriting, Sales, and leadership support to ensure proactive, end to end, and ongoing ownership and accountability for each client
  • Be well versed in client data and partner with clients on strategic recommendations to inform renewals and growth opportunities
  • Use data to develop strategic account plans and recommend changes to Gravie’s benefit solutions as needed
  • Facilitate kick-off meetings with employer populations, meet with clients regularly, and provide accurate and timely answers to client questions
  • Conduct monthly reviews of each client's claims experience, providing updates and recommendations for cost savings
  • Plan for and present quarterly progress reports on goals to the client and broker
  • Conduct proactive and data driven mid-Year Pulse Checks focused on intervention strategies, renewal planning, and performance optimization
  • Present strategic renewal proposals to clients and negotiate rates as needed with the Underwriting Team and leadership
  • Leverage Gravie marketing campaigns to strategically upsell Gravie products based on utilization
  • Educate clients about Gravie’s products, services, regulatory requirements, and compliance requirements
  • Ensure smooth transition from sales and successful new client implementation
  • Research and resolve client issues and elevated member issues from Gravie’s advisor team
  • Effectively use and document client information in the CRM system

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relationship or account management field
  • Must be licensed in health insurance in your home state
  • 3+ years of account management experience in the health insurance industry
  • 2+ years experience using data to gain insights and make strategic recommendations
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment and comfort researching and solving problems with minimal guidance
  • 3+ years of experience working collaboratively across several teams and functions
  • Previous start-up or emerging growth company experience
  • Experience with self-insured health plans
  • Experience establishing processes and standards for superior customer service
  • Fluent in Spanish
