Job Description

AI Engineer building reliable GenAI, RAG, and agentic systems for Red Nucleus’s life sciences solutions. Delivering AI-generated insights for scientific and medical writing teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and deploy LLM-powered solutions
  • Integrate API-driven models such as Gemini and GPT into production
  • Implement batching, caching, retries, and audit logging
  • Design RAG pipelines using document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector databases, hybrid search, grounding, and citation-aware responses
  • Develop agentic workflows using tools, APIs, structured outputs, multi-step reasoning, task planning, and human-in-the-loop review
  • Explore and prototype emerging GenAI techniques against real problems
  • Evaluate prototypes for production implementation
  • Build dependable systems with APIs, cloud services, Docker, monitoring, LLM observability, and tracing
  • Run GenAI pipelines to produce deliverables for scientific and medical writing teams when needed
  • Collaborate with clinical, HEOR, and medical writing teams
  • Deliver actionable insights and iterate based on subject matter expert feedback
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation

Requirements:

  • 3+ years building GenAI software solutions
  • Strong Python skills
  • Solid grasp of software engineering best practices, including testing, API design, and code quality
  • Hands-on experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt design, agents, and LLM evaluation
  • Experience with LLM application frameworks such as LangChain
  • Experience with APIs, databases, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), secure environments, and production monitoring
  • Habit of staying current with fast-moving GenAI research and willingness to experiment
  • Nice to have: background integrating and fine-tuning open-source LLMs
  • Nice to have: experience building quick demos using Streamlit/Gradio
  • Nice to have: exposure to asynchronous task queues such as Celery, RQ, or Kafka
