Job Description
AI Engineer developing Generative AI and Machine Learning solutions using Google Cloud Platform for Rox Partner. Collaborating with a team to implement intelligent applications and architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership in the development of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI and Machine Learning solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Design and implement applications based on Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), AI Agents, multimodal systems and intelligent assistants.
- Develop AI application architectures using Vertex AI, Gemini and other Google Cloud Platform services.
- Define technical standards for AI application development, promoting engineering best practices, component reuse, observability, scalability and security.
- Develop data and AI processing pipelines, including ingestion, enrichment, indexing, embeddings, context retrieval and inference.
- Implement solutions using vector databases, semantic search engines, embeddings and advanced information retrieval strategies.
- Develop APIs, microservices and integrations between AI applications, data platforms, corporate systems and cloud services.
- Work on building agent-based applications, Function Calling, Tool Use and orchestration of multiple agents.
- Implement MLOps and LLMOps practices, including model versioning, monitoring, evaluation, observability, deployment automation and lifecycle management of applications.
- Continuously evaluate new models, frameworks and AI technologies, proposing improvements for platform evolution.
- Serve as a technical reference for the team, supporting code reviews, defining standards, troubleshooting and evolving solutions.
- Collaborate with AI Architects, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Owners and business areas to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Ensure quality, performance, security and operational efficiency of developed applications.
Requirements:
- Strong experience developing Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI solutions in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency with Vertex AI, Gemini and the Google Cloud AI ecosystem.
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering and Generative AI applications.
- Solid knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures, AI Agents, Function Calling, Tool Use and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen or similar frameworks.
- Experience with vector databases such as Vertex AI Vector Search, PGVector, Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS or Milvus.
- Proficient in Python for AI application development.
- Experience with FastAPI, REST APIs and application integration.
- Knowledge of SQL and integration with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and containerization.
- Experience with MLOps, LLMOps, Git, CI/CD and DevSecOps.
- Knowledge of BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Run and Cloud Functions.
- Ability to provide technical leadership and support other developers.
- Experience with Vertex AI Agent Builder.
- Experience with fine-tuning and model customization.
- Knowledge of GraphRAG and graph databases.
- Experience with open source models (Llama, Mistral, Qwen, DeepSeek, etc.).
- Experience evaluating LLMs, implementing guardrails, observability and AI Safety.
- Knowledge of multimodality (image, audio and video).
- Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Machine Learning Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent.
