Job Description

Backend Architect designing and developing .NET backend architecture for Cupid Media's social discovery platforms. Ensuring scalability and reliability in collaboration with adjacent departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of backend architecture (.NET);
  • Definition and implementation of architectural standards and best practices;
  • Design of backend services, APIs, and integrations;
  • Architecture and critical code review;
  • High-level effort estimation and validation of detailed technical estimates;
  • Communication with adjacent departments;
  • Ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability of backend systems.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of C# and .NET ecosystem (.NET Core / ASP.NET Core);
  • Solid understanding and practical application of OOP, SOLID principles, and common architectural patterns;
  • Proven experience designing backend architectures and scalable distributed systems;
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services;
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and service-to-service communication patterns;
  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, Redis);
  • Understanding of system performance, scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance principles;
  • Experience with message brokers and asynchronous communication (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.);
  • Experience with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS);
  • Strong code review, debugging, and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience defining architectural standards and validating technical solutions;
  • English from B1–B2 (good spoken English required);
  • Fluent Russian;
  • Ability to work in GMT+4-GMT+8.
