Job Description
Backend Engineer building scalable data models, APIs, integrations, and AI foundations for Dragonboat’s strategic product portfolio management platform. Owning architecture and data-driven systems for enterprise customers.
Responsibilities:
- Own and evolve the core platform, including the data model, APIs, and services
- Design and build backend systems powering the portfolio intelligence layer
- Implement data aggregation, scoring, and analysis at scale
- Build and maintain integrations with customers’ daily tools
- Make architectural decisions that support company growth
- Collaborate directly with product and engineering teams to move from problems to solutions quickly
- Use agentic coding tools as a first-class part of daily development
- Build scalable systems and backend foundations for production-grade AI-powered features
Requirements:
- 4+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong opinions about building durable systems
- Ability to own problems from initial design through production
- Ability to move quickly without cutting corners
- Experience with data-heavy systems
- Skill in data modeling, querying, and optimization
- Heavy use of AI tools in the development workflow
- Clear communication and ability to give honest feedback
- Ability to work independently with minimal hand-holding
- Experience with third-party platform integrations is a strong plus
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS at scale is a strong plus
- Experience building data-driven insight features is a strong plus
