Job Description
BI Developer building Power BI dashboards, SQL queries, and ETL pipelines for Constellation’s Homeland Security clients. Translating operational and financial data into actionable stakeholder insights.
Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and automate dashboards, reports, and data models using Power BI and other visualization tools
- Design, build, and maintain data ETL pipelines from SQL databases, SharePoint, Excel, and other sources
- Optimize and refine existing SQL queries and dashboards
- Maintain accurate documentation for client dashboards and associated SQL queries
- Collaborate with clients and technical resources to gather and integrate business requirements into effective data visualizations
- Translate complex data findings into clear, digestible insights for stakeholders
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports and dashboards
- Coordinate with other developers on data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Present technical solutions and business value to non-technical stakeholders
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience working with large datasets in a data visualization tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
- Advanced understanding of SQL, including query optimization, common table expressions (CTEs), and complex joins
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas
- Excellent communication skills for gathering requirements, presenting solutions, and translating complex data findings for non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree required; major in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field preferred
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must be able to pass a background investigation by the client agency
- DHS clearance with CBP or ICE preferred
- Experience developing in Python (Pandas) for data analysis preferred
- Experience developing PowerApps and Power Automate solutions preferred
