Job Description
Cluster Architect designing large-scale NVIDIA GPU clusters for Andromeda’s compute marketplace. Translating customer workloads into complete compute, networking, storage, power, and cooling designs.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and operate large-scale GPU clusters for AI labs and compute providers
- Own reference designs for current and next-generation NVIDIA platforms
- Turn customer requirements into complete cluster designs across compute, fabric, storage, management, power, and cooling interfaces
- Act as technical authority on every build
- Create customer configurations, bills of materials, and rack layouts based on workload, scale, and site
- Analyze training and inference workloads to determine tradeoffs across latency, bandwidth, and GPU density
- Design within fixed site power budgets while maximizing GPU density and reserving headroom for storage, networking, and services
- Technically review vendor quotes and bills of materials
- Define burn-in, performance, and acceptance tests for cluster readiness
- Validate power, cooling, and floor requirements against candidate data centers
- Work across multiple sites, vendors, and platforms
Requirements:
- Designed and delivered GPU clusters of 1,000+ GPUs
- Detailed knowledge of NVIDIA HGX and NVL72 systems and SuperPOD reference architectures
- Working knowledge of InfiniBand and Spectrum-X fabrics
- Working knowledge of parallel storage systems including VAST, WEKA, and DDN
- Working knowledge of Slurm or Kubernetes cluster stacks
- Understanding of rack power and liquid cooling
- Understanding of how facility constraints shape a design
- Experience with NCCL, HPL, and MLPerf benchmarking and cluster acceptance
- Experience delivering GB200 or GB300 NVL72 deployments
- NVIDIA-certified architect or equivalent certification
