Job Description
Seeking a Contract Java Engineer for remote work with occasional travel to Manchester. Engage in software development and collaborate with engineers to solve technical challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in software development as a Java Engineer.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders on technical issues.
- Guide and support junior engineers.
- Write documentation and share knowledge.
Requirements:
- Solid development experience working in a commercial environment, an expert in Java and experience with Kafka, Spring framework, Apache Spark & GCP.
- Commercial experience working with agile methodologies.
- Experience dealing with challenges from stakeholders on technical issues and influencing technical decisions in the team.
- Understanding and ownership of best practice as a Senior Engineer (eg. TDD, SOLID, XP)
- Experience of guiding and supporting junior and mid-level engineers.
- Experience of writing effective documentation and knowledge sharing.
