Job Description
Backend Developer developing backend services and APIs with Java or Kotlin for Corporate Rates Club. Collaborating in a cross-functional team to enhance hotel booking solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Development and maintenance of backend services using Java or Kotlin
- Creation of RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for web and mobile applications
- Design and optimization of a microservices architecture for scalability and performance
- Work with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Ensure code quality through unit tests, integration tests and CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps and product teams
- Analyze and resolve production issues
- Continuous learning of Java, Kotlin and backend technologies
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Java (8+) and/or Kotlin for backend development
- Experience with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security)
- Experience in RESTful API design, OpenAPI/Swagger and API security (JWT, OAuth2)
- Knowledge of microservices and Docker
- Understanding of database design, SQL and ORM tools (Hibernate, JPA, Exposed for Kotlin)
- Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) for event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with Git, Agile methodologies and DevOps (CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Analytical skills and writing clean, maintainable code
