  • Develop Fabric semantic models, DAX measures, Power BI reports and paginated reports
  • Apply documented architecture, naming conventions and re-runnability standards
  • Test pipelines end to end in isolated feature workspaces and validate row counts, key values, logging and downstream impact
  • Conduct peer reviews of Azure DevOps pull requests
  • Support daily ETL operations by checking overnight runs, investigating failures and applying recovery procedures
  • Follow feature-branch, feature-workspace and regulatory change-control approval processes
  • Document transformation logic, data mappings and known edge cases for each pipeline
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, risk and platform business colleagues on data needs and interpretation
  • Participate in Agile planning, backlog refinement and retrospectives

Requirements:

  • Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimising stored procedures against SQL Server, Azure SQL or Fabric
  • Practical experience building, troubleshooting and maintaining ETL processes and data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse or Databricks
  • Solid grounding in data warehousing concepts, including star schemas, fact grain, surrogate keys and slowly changing dimensions
  • Experience building semantic models, writing DAX measures, and developing Power BI reports or dashboards
  • Working knowledge of Python for file parsing and automation, ideally within notebooks
  • Comfortable with Git branching, pull requests and code review, ideally in Azure DevOps
  • Methodical approach to validating work, including reconciling to source and checking downstream impact
  • Ability to trace data issues through data layers to their cause
  • Able to explain technical detail to non-technical colleagues and clarify incomplete requirements
  • Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience is desirable; DP-700 certification is welcome but not required
  • Experience in formal change control and regulated environments is desirable
  • Exposure to financial services data such as holdings, transactions, flows and charges is desirable
  • Experience designing or operating source-to-warehouse reconciliation and validation controls is desirable

Benefits:

  • Non-contributory pension
  • Bonus
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Paid time off for emergencies
  • Health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Flexible working options
  • Reward for efforts
  • Social responsibility and inclusion-focused workplace culture
