Job Description
Data Migration Specialist responsible for exporting and organizing data for FundCount's database. Collaborating with clients and internal teams for efficient onboarding and data validation.
Responsibilities:
- Apply expert Excel and related database programming/management skills to export and organize data from legacy systems for import into FundCount.
- Perform data validation tests to understand and improve data quality.
- Document data flow through legacy system antecedents and other databases.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis where necessary in recommending process improvements.
- Assist in the creation of new — and the maintenance of existing — data import and export interfaces between FundCount and 3rd-party systems and services.
- Develop Excel-based macros and scripts to automate data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Build validation and reconciliation reports and dashboards to confirm migrated data ties out to official records.
- Work on multiple data migration implementation projects simultaneously.
- Interface with internal staff to implement data migration tasks.
- Manage data migration testing and reporting.
- Help identify design and interface process improvements.
- Create systems integration documentation.
- Submit the results of work into the Jira tracking system, properly describing and organizing each task according to the company’s established workflow.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of relevant experience creating reports for business users of ERP systems
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge and an understanding of SQL queries
- Understanding of the principles of analyzing large data sets and identifying patterns to define rules
- Ability to learn new things quickly and work both independently and as a member of a project team
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
