Job Description

Data Scientist supporting a U.S. Government client with AI, Splunk, and cloud analytics. Detecting enterprise issues, diagnosing API performance, and designing remediation strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and model Incident, Problem, and Change trends to identify opportunities for service improvements
  • Perform and interpret data studies and experiments involving new data sources or new uses for existing data sources
  • Leverage Splunk dashboards, alerts, and search queries to detect, investigate, and resolve operational issues in real time
  • Utilize AWS CloudWatch, Google Cloud Operations, and Azure Monitor to identify and address performance gaps
  • Develop analytics using data mining, statistical, forecasting, and modeling techniques
  • Develop prototypes, proof of concepts, algorithms, predictive models, and custom analyses
  • Improve data quality, search quality, and predictive capabilities
  • Identify appropriate tools for data analysis, including external tools
  • Leverage AI and machine learning to improve automation through data output, aggregation, analytics, algorithms, orchestration, and visualization
  • Provide guidance and technical support to executives, contractors, and employees in other functional areas
  • Identify performance degradation, anomalies, and systemic issues across large enterprise systems using data-driven analysis
  • Analyze API call patterns, response times, and latency trends to diagnose integration and performance issues
  • Propose and document actionable solutions and remediation strategies collaboratively with application, infrastructure, and network teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of related IT experience
  • Hands-on experience with AI and cloud platforms
  • Advanced proficiency in Splunk
  • Solid understanding of network technologies and their impact on API performance and latency
  • Excellent analytical & communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card)
  • Must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years
  • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last 5 years; military service excluded
